The Department of Industrial Management and Logistics was established in 2001 and has two divisions: Engineering Logistics and Production Management. The department is part of the Faculty of Engineering (LTH) at Lund University. We are located at the M-house.
The Department conducts innovative teaching via core courses in business management and logistics in most of the Engineering Master programs, and via advanced elective courses, primarily for Industrial and Mechanical Engineering students. The Department also offer Doctoral programs and it conducts advanced scholarly research.
A significant part of our research is funded via external sources such as VINNOVA, research grants and projects funded by industrial organizations. The Department is an active member of the Swedish competence center for logistics NGIL – Next Generation Innovative Logistics.
The goal of the Department is to provide new knowledge both in terms of basic, scientific research and in terms of advanced, applied knowledge.
